Open Question: He said "good to know I guess...." what does that mean?

It was in no way directed toward him. Keep this in mind. I was only talking about how pretty New England was while looking at pictures of it, and I said it would be nice to get married there to this guy I like. He likes me too, but we can't be together due to distance. I didn't mean US get married, I just mean me getting married. Anyway, he said "good to know I guess...". What's that supposed to mean?
